Asian Poker Tour to partner with PokerOrg

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) will mark its 20th anniversary by partnering with PokerOrg.

Key Points

PokerOrg will work closely with APT as its new official media partner

Coverage will start with the APT Taipei series and will continue throughout 2026

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, The Asian Poker Tour will exclusively partner with PokerOrg.

Starting off the APT Taipei series – two tournaments will follow in Korea: the APT Incheon in August and APT Jeju in September/October, finishing off the APT Championship back in Taipei in November.

PokerOrg’s Eric Hollreiser said, “APT has been one of the most important stories in poker for several years, but much of the global audience hasn’t experienced it yet. This partnership changes that, not by reporting on APT from the outside, but by bringing players inside it and making it matter to a global audience.”

The tour, which started back in 2006, had its relaunch under new ownership three years ago. And since then the series has continued to grow with consistent momentum, with a total prize of $5m for the winner, the APT is sure to attract even more risk takers.

In other poker related news, the World Poker Tour and Creator Television have announced the launch of the inaugural Creator Poker Championship, a joint venture marking a collaboration between two online creators.

“PokerOrg is the gold standard in poker media, so bringing them on as our Official Media Partner is a natural fit,” says Fred Leung, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour. “Their values around integrity and how they approach the game are fully aligned with APT.”

While the appetite continues to grow for this kind of content, it also invites more push-back. 10 people were arrested in January 2026 for their connection to an illegal poker house in Thailand.
